Great graphic novel but after all the amazing reviews I've heard- it didn't live up to them (in my opinion)
Still a great story and great piece of work but I don't think I'll be buying the next volume!

I can certainly see why so many people love these books. While it's not my favorite it was a fairly decent read. I'm glad I decided to pick these up from the library, originally this was a story I had no intention of reading. While I might not ever buy these books, I'll continue check them out from the library. I'm interested to see what happens next.

Is this necessarily what I expected? No. But am I upset about it? Not in the slightest. I had a great time with this and read it in one sitting. The review is what held me back.

I'm slightly berating myself for taking so long to get my hands on the Saga series. It's been in my pile of to-read list and what a fun filled ride it is.

In this intro, we're abruptly introduced to Hazel, Alana and Marko's new born child - literally! Alana and Marko are on two different sides and species of a war. They are supposed to be enemies but fell in love, had a child and must now fight to survive attacks from both sides who hunt them down. We're introduced to a deadly cast of characters whose goal of killing Alana and Marko is interspersed by sideline stories that give them a lot more dimension and emotion.

Looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

Comedy. Action. Interesting characters. Fantasy. And beautiful art. What else do I need
