Reverse-harem? Really? I'm gonna bet that in the next four books there would be no clear love interest for the heroine or I don't know, all seven guys (just seven? Pshh. I know a reverse harem where 13 guys fight for one girl) where they're gonna make a move on her and she still won't be able to decide shit. Or if she's able to decide to love one, then that guy would push her away because of past issues and shit alike.
This book greatly reminded me of Japanese Visual Novels, particularly Otome Games. Or shoujo manga. Like, really. This one hit all of the requirements of a typical reverse-harem themed Japanese story.
1. Heroine is extremely naive, pure, virginal, and in a dire need to be protected.
2. Heroine treats the heros differently that's why they're attracted to her.
2. All heros are freaking handsome. Yeah, that's a freaking requirement.
3. All heros are rich. If not all, then mostly.
4. All heros specialize in one field. (Yeah, face it, Victor in piano, Nathan in Jujitsu, Kota in academics, and so on.)
Which makes this book totally cliche for me. Because these kind of stories are reallllllly predictable. The only thrill you'll get is wondering who she'll end up with. And the choosing part would be really dragged. Like really dragged because it's how reverse-harem stories are.
And please, the way all of them met? And the insta-trust and attraction? PLEASE. So typical. I would have liked this if I read this when I was 12 or 13, but now? After reading a shit ton of reverse-harem stories that are actually better than this? BIG FAT NO. NOPE NO.
I thought this would be different, you know. But then it's not. Meh.
So I would rather do a Japanese Visual Novel than read this because with the former, I can at least manipulate who the heroine would end up with. (The last Japanese Visual Novel I did was Diabolik Lovers More Blood and 10 guys are fighting for one heroine. Yeah, TEN.)

pretty good start
This is a pretty good start to a series. Great way to lay the ground work for future books. I like this as we get to meet the main players all in one go. I’m not totally sold on this series, we will see if I get any further.

I loved this book, i am going to admit i saw this book as free and like most books that are free I think okay the book could be terrible, it could be so bad i read a chapter but if i am not spending a penny does it matter? I am a kindle lover as books like this are gems especially when you find them for free!
The characters are well introduced, they are likeable. The amount of possible love connections is a little overwhelming, i personally favour silas but i think the authors going for another. Shame.
Its well written too which i find shocking, the storyline is gripping too which makes the book seem to go quickly (i've already gone through the first and second in four hours)
If you like gallagher girls then this is ideal for you. It has the mushy cute moments and the dramatic bad moments, I would say it keeps you reading because you are constantly trying to decipher the secret the boys are hiding.
This review is not very constructive because I just liked it so much I will try to edit it at another point but the author should pat themselves on the back i havent been so into a book in a long time.

So.. the writing was bad.. the story was basically not there.. Song was weak and weird.. but I still couldn't stop reading. So I'm not sure what that says about me.. I just needed to know if it got better! But my library doesn't have the next one yet and I will not pay $4.99 for it soooo I doubt I will ever read any more in this series.

The only reason I gave this book two stars was because of the fact that there wasn't really a solid plot to it, it was just what the title claimed, introductions to the seven supremely hot, seemingly perfect (or are they?) guys that Sang Sorenson is introduced to and perhaps just a tad overwhelmed and swept away by. I downloaded this book because it was free and I was looking to pick up another YA series to pass some free time with, and this is what I got. And I'm not saying that in a negative way whatsoever, quite the contrary, in fact. I absolutely LOVED the characters, I loved how they were all so different and the thing that united them was their loyalty to each other and to the Academy. This was a character-driven rather than plot-driven book, hence why the two stars, because there really is no plot on terms of a real conflict and resolution, just a bunch of piling mysteries. Ah well. Will read the next one and see what happens.
