The Selection by Kiera Cass is a captivating read for fans of swoon-worthy romance, royal intrigue, and dystopian worlds, particularly those who enjoy the thrill of competition, the allure of forbidden love, and the excitement of a fairy-tale like atmosphere.

Finally reading this one! I'm also excited to read this one because I expect this to be a 4-star book. I love to read about princess and royalty themes because I have just watched a Princess Diaries movie, and I'm just loving it, and maybe that's also why I wanted to read this book. This book was popular long ago, and lots of readers loved it and recommended it to read.

It's my first time reading this book by this author, and it's my first time reading her book unless I'm going to read the next book in a series. My TBR twin and I chose this book to read in the first month of this year, and I think it would be fun and engaging at the same time because I think we both really enjoyed reading this book. I liked the cover of the book, which is of a woman wearing a blue gown, and I think it looks perfect on her.

America Singer is the main character of the book. One day, their kingdom, Illéa, sent an offer about a prince finding his princess, and her mother convinced her to sign up for her name. The selection of the princess begins. After a few days, she got elected in 35 chosen girls after they announced who got selected. Whoever got chosen to be the future queen of Illeá and win the heart of the prince. And let the games begin.

I’ll finally understand the references to this book but at what cost…

I finished this book in three days. I could NOT put it down! I really enjoyed the uncertain kind of romance between America + Maxon. Maxon, I've never heard that name before. I like the dystopian aspect of the book as well as the little bit of history Illéa. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK!!!!!!!!!!

PRINCE MAXON IS TOO PERFECT!!

America is kind of annoying because she should just love Prince Maxon and throw Aspen into a hole. But her compassion and kindness and genuine uniqueness makes her a really likeable character so it balances out I suppose.

I fell in love with this book and ended up reading it in a day. That's all I have to say.
