This book took me a really long time to force myself to finish. I listened to it as an audiobook and had to increase it to 1.75 speed by the end. Almost stopped completely after the book says neither of the main characters wear corsets unlike other women. A couple of other points in the story also felt pretty unbelievable. A lot of the book was "look I'm not like other girls".
Even though quite a lot happens, I still got bored. Probably because the character's, the relationship and any conflict the relationship would realistically have all felt flat and underdeveloped. I could see how someone who doesn't mind those things could enjoy the book as a really simple romance with simple characters but I found myself wanting more from the story to keep me engaged.
