The continuing adventures of Taylin and Ru as they set out to save a friend's child (and incidentally, the world). It's decently engaging, though it manages to feel both a bit rushed - with plot points hurtling in at a rapid rate - and yet also a bit slow, as the whole book more or less is just getting the pieces in place for the final novel in the series. Definitely not one to read as a stand-alone work.
