Far in the future, the remnants of humanity live in a single city, behind a series of protective walls designed to keep out the titans, nearly indestructible man-eating giants that have overrun most of the world.

When a wall is breached after nearly a century without attacks, a group of young recruits must join the suddenly desperate battle against the titans, which have now produced a colossus capable of breaking through the city's walls.

This was a good introduction to the scenario and I enjoyed the developing relationships between the characters, especially the dynamic between the fiercely protective Mikasa, and the ambitious Eren.

The action sequences are great, the titans more horrifying than you might anticipate, and there is a reasonable attempt to make sense of a scenario of people fighting against human-eating giants.

After watching the anime and loving it, I decided it was time to read the manga.
Felt like time travel to the time I first watched this show (maybe last year or so) and I really like the story.
For those who don’t know: it about how a group of teenagers want to save humankind by killing all the titans
And I felt great because I read it in Spanish so I got some extra practice while reading the manga.
Recommend to everyone!!

I read this as a teen and while I don't think I'd enjoy it today, I still think it's super neat. The anime was cool, though I didn't finish it. It has a really interesting world that unfolds slowly, mingled with (I've heard) critiques of fascism and dictatorship, so if those parts of the world bother you, the latter part of the story unpacks it more. But it takea a while to get there.

First manga ever, I hope this goes well. I'm loving it so far but I don't understand why people hate the art style so much :/

aight back here after finishing the series

Okay so I'd heard the name "Eren Yeager" and "Eren Kruger" thrown around for a good while. And so when I saw one of those names here I assumed he's gonna be the main character. Boy, oh, boy, imagine my confusion when he died in the first volume 💀

Looking back, this is such a good way to start the series. Really made me wanna keep picking up the next instalments. So many fond memories associated with AOT. Never thought I would get emotionally attached to something like this but here we are :")
