Maybe I should slow it down with the manga binge reading but whatever. Ooohh I loved this volume. New homunculi unlocked! Olivier my lovely ice queen how I love you.
Also I love how much of a nuisance Izumi was in her youth.
The reveal that
Ametris was solely created for the creation of the Philosopher’s stone is truly terrifying.
Also I truly hope that Kimblee suffers a fate even worse than Raven’s ☺️.
But honestly though being  buried under a block of ice is truly top notch. But only the wonderful Olivier would be capable of such genius of course.
Finally what do you mean
Honenheim is like at least 400 years old??? And apparently Trisha knew???

Great progression of the homunculi plot and insight into the bloody founding of Amestris. Olivier Mira is a fun character; the ruthless principled ones always are.

Still uncertain about Kimblee. So far, he's failed to impart the level of dread or gravitas that the manga seems to want to convey.

But, that being said, this was a tightly constructed installment with good forward momentum and tension-building. Loved the backstory with Hohenheim and Trisha; it was much needed.

OOOOH things are getting heated.

It’s still good, but it’s not as it used to be. There’s a lot of stuff happening, but I still feel that we’ve lost some momentum, and it’s a tad boring. Hopefully it will pick itself up again.
But Kimblee, while being whatever he is… I kind of like him. Don’t know what that makes me, but hey.
