I just didn't connect with this one. I almost gave up, but decided to push my way through. Mia was too perfect, beautiful, smart and for her to have bulimia as her dirty secret was a bit too much. Added in that she came from abusive home to an abusive boyfriend who had the strength to leave that relationship and jump head first into another not so great relationship. I know Jordan was supposed to great love interest that saves her, but he was jerk. Then to read on and find out this happened over a two week period didn't seem realistic enough.

Huge twist I was not expecting. I really enjoyed that this was a standalone!

4.5 rounded up to 5. It's been a while since I needed to stay up late to finish a book.

Alright, I guess it’s an okay read. I’ve definitely read better in the genres.
I mean I finished the whole book, so I will have to give it two stars.
However I have quite a lot of issues with this book.

The pace is far too quick. It never slows down and stuff happens one after another without giving the reader much time to process. And the characters jump from one thing to the next without reflecting on it or giving it time. It doesn’t feel genuine to me.

It touches upon some really heavy subjects which needs to be handled with care. And I would say that the author fails to do this. A lot of trauma is unpacked from the first page and is never really addressed with the respect I think it deserves. It’s glossed over and far to easily put aside by the characters.
I wanna issue a BIG TW regarding eating disorders and abuse. It feels like those subjects are used more for chock value than anything else.

I also have a big issue with the male main character. He comes off as disgusting - and I don’t think that is what the author intended. I get it, he is suppose to be a douche bag with a sweet heart. But there are far more subtle ways to portray that without him coming off as just a prick.

I don’t know why the author is forcing this story by keeping such a high pace. But it ends up being not believable since you’re just rushing through the story.
The whole writing is just too on the nose for my taste and it is predictable.

Lo que más me gustó del libro sin duda fueron los POV's Jordan.

loved this book

the dual perspectives made it more interesting. I enjoyed reading from Jordan's perspective because it was more light hearted but I loved mias character she was strong considering what she went through.
there relationship was so cute I desperately wanted them to be together.
definitely recommend this book especially to those who liked beautiful disaster.
