I started this second book with many questions from the first one, but I think I might have even more now that I finished the book 🧐
The story is great, a power and time travel paradox is always fun to read + again the depth of characters is great 😊
I do wonder though whether I or really ‘hate’ this book because at some points it was so frustrating…or really love it because it did challenge me 🤨

I binged the book in one day and have absolutely no idea what just happened. Weak setting. Weak plot. Liked a few of the characters, others kinda bored me.

Lost interest ~~~

I feel like I should have stopped after the first one kind of disappointed me but I thought I would give this one a try. Granted I read this in a day and was running off of 3 hours of sleep but you know—Sundays.

The story is very complex and convoluted that it was hard for me to keep track of so many things I eventually gave up because sometimes…

…the writing glazed over my eyes with how it was trying to be descriptive and informational that I honestly resonated with very little of this.

The characters—ugh, the characters. I really want to like the characters but I feel this emotional disconnect that I wished I didn’t. I don’t feel like this is a very character driven story, despite it being about six whole characters, because we focus a lot on info dumping and sex and I just wish we would take a moment to pause and address feelings. Everybody is horny for each other and I don’t feel any connection to a certain relationship that I could possibly root for because there are so many.

I think one of my biggest struggles was that this book was so well organized—we had character summaries, good chapter breaks, well broken up parts. Everything was neat. But everything in between was all mush in the depths of my memory. I won’t remember a lot of this.

I’m sad to put this at a 1 star rating but it’s just how I feel. :/
