A great short story that emphasizes Colter Shaw's abilities to notice and interpret exactly what is going on in any situation.  A short, fast read that I would highly recommend if you have read book one in the series.

Fast, fun 15-20 minutes. If you're a Colter Shaw fan, you'll enjoy this short story.

well I didn't see that ending coming! I really like Colter Shaw and how he determines what is the truth in different situations. The only thing is that we don't know what happened with the original case he was on with the missing girl. Did he find her?

I’m happy to have the chance to be back in Colter’s world, The Never Game is one of the books I enjoyed the most in 2019 and I can’t wait to read the sequel.

This didn't have the intensity I often expect with a short story. I found it to be a bit lackluster.

I enjoyed the twist, but the acrostic clue was too unbelievable. Why was the sheriff so aggressive and then not aggressive?

Entertaining short story with a twist. This is a great introduction to Deaver's new character Colter Shaw.
