Undeniably well-written but amazingly dull for a horror novel.

Very easy to read, and honestly really captivating at points but the ending was a real let down in comparison to the dress it had building - just descended into pure shock value gore and then utter nonsense.
I didn’t appreciate the absolutely horrible end for the poor dog, will be thinking about her for a bit

Not very good, it dragged and had a very weak ending. It also didn't feel like it was trying to say anything, I couldn't nail down any themes. I want my horror to have a heart, a message, and this really didn't. The writing was fine and the descriptions were fun, but I still would not recommend this.

Dark, intense, claustrophobic. Very unique form of horror.

Interesting idea, some unsettling gore. By the end it was tripping over itself and very weak finish.

The story dragged, it didn't make any sense, and it was boring.  I had no attachments to any of the characters except LB, the dog.  Once it was obvious they were going to kill her, I saw no point in going on.  It soured an already not-so-great read.  I had high hopes for this and am very disappointed.

Gives me "Event Horizon" vibes, but instead of being in space it's at the bottom of the sea

this book was so hard to get through, not because it was scary and dark but because i thought it was so boring. i had high expectations for it to scare me but ultimately it put me in a reading slump. some parts of the book intrigued me but overall it wasnt my favorite
