This was probably my favorite of the whole series. Definitely had the most laugh-out-loud moments and great characters. We finally get Levi's story.

Levi is the younger brother of Tripp and another former Bro Code member. He's the only one who stayed in the music industry and has been doing his solo career. He also is the one who never wanted to slow down and settle. Until he has the unlikely run-in with someone he knows he recognizes.

Ingrid owns a cute little bookstore and has 3 wild kids. A former military woman, she once went to a Bro Code show and held up a sign and could swear Levi locked eyes with her...

Such a cute book with lots of laughs. Slow burn on the steam, and probably less spice than some of the others, but still a great book. I'm curious to see if we will get a book about the last Bro Code member, Davis.
Definitely a 4.25.

All The Feels

Sigh. I love Pippa Grant. Her books never fail to make me laugh out loud and lift my spirit.
Now, as a pregnant woman who get entirely too emotional about virtually everything, I did cry a lot- mostly bc it’s just so good!!

Pippa is the goddess of funny, there is no denying that fact, but The Hot Mess and the Heartthrob is more than her typical romcom, it is more than a romantic story between a hot mess mom and a hottie pop god, it is a book jammed full of emotion that kept leaking out of my eyes.

Levi Wilson is feeling melancholy. His life would seem practically perfect; he's living his dream of pop stardom, models dripping from his arms, traveling the world, he's basically done it all, but why can't he shake the feeling that something is missing?

Surrounded by his brother, his friends, and even his own mother who is not only dating or found the loves of their lives might have something to do with this feeling, but it also might have something to do with missing these very people in his daily life every time he visits home. Missing his home town is an ache that is happening more and more, but when he meets Ingrid, a woman who runs a bookshop in Copper Valley that ache grows into something he didn't even know he was missing.

Ingrid is a single mom with three, count them, three children and doesn't have time for the complication that comes with a pop star's life. Her marriage didn't work because her ex was gone all the time, but Levi comes with a whole new set of complications aside from his traveling calendar. What she didn't expect from Levi was the kind, considerate, nice, funny, and every other adjective to describe the man whose music got her through every rough patch in her life, which makes it that much harder not to fall for him, not the singer, but the man himself.

Can a hot mess single mother and a heartthrob pop star really make it work in the long run or can they just have a fun fling and still be friends?

Filled with Pippa's comedy there were also many joyful tear filled moments. Those happy tears literally took my breath away and made the entire story so worth while. Levi is everything you were not expecting, while Ingrid's family is an adorable mess.

3.75/5🌶️, MF, Contemporary romantic comedy, single mom and a popstar, part of a series but read as a standalone without issue, KU

As a self proclaimed hot mess mom, this story resonated a bit deeper for me, or it could be because I’ve had a string of mediocre reads and this just hit the right notes this week, but whatever the reason, I really enjoy this book. This was a cute story about a popstar falling in love with a single mom and her three rambunctious children and trying to make her life easier by taking care of her and making her a priority. I wasn’t completely sold on this book at the beginning because the FMC’s life was in absolute, over the top chaos, but once the ridiculousness settled a bit and it turned more to dealing with childcare, extracurricular activities, meeting job and house care requirements, and the guilt moms feel trying to be and do everything and worrying over if the kids will know how much we love them - that hit deep. I also loved that it wasn’t just about the MMC realizing how much the FMC had on her plate but recognizing how much his own single mom did for him growing up and how he tried to show his appreciation more for her. I really liked this MMC. He was sweet and caring and funny, never taking himself too seriously and not at all the typical “pop/rockstar” persona. The children were well written and funny without being overly annoying. The 80% conflict was also my least hated reason for a breakup/separation. If there must be a conflict/separation, at least let the couple communicate throughout and support each other and step away from the relationship to figure things out in a mature and reasonable manner. I think the whole final third of the book had me grinning and swooning, it also helped that was where all the spice was too. Even the spice fit well, because kids and life got in the way a lot, as it does! Overall, a very enjoyable book that brought me out of my latest book slump!

I don't think I will ever be disappointed by a Pippa Grant book! Sure, I like some more than others, but they're always good.

This book is for you if you're into kids who are hellions and heroines who seem to keep finding food stuck to their body. NOTE: If you've never ever read a Pippa Grant book, I'm not sure I would recommend starting with this one. The plot does rely on the cameo characters, so I would imagine it would be a little overwhelming to a reader unfamiliar with the Bro-Code characters. And there are A LOT of cameos/side characters. I think I would at minimum recommend reading Bro-Code #3 (Liar, Liar Hearts on Fire) before this one. Levi Wilson in this book (bro-Code #4) and Tripp Wilson in Bro-Code #3 are brothers. But starting with Bro-Code #1 would be best!

This was a super cute, sweet read that definitely hit the spot - I've still got the warm fuzzies.

I haven't read this author before, but I definitely will again.

The least expected to fall

Levi never wanted to marry or settle down, that was until he met the one by accident. He's dreamed about the one who changed his life for eight years, never thought he would get to meet her, until he accidentally stumbled into her bookstore one day in his hometown.
Ingrid always knew that he had seen her at the concert she went to, nobody believed her. Eight years later he stumbled into her bookstore and something passes between them. But what would a pop star want with a single mother of three?
I loved how this story built around Ingrid and her life and made Levi realize just how much his own mother did to raise him and his brother. Made him appreciate her more for it and also appreciate Ingrid for everything she sacrifices for her children.
There were so many laugh out loud moments in this book I loved it so much.
