Another great re-read. All I remember from this is the motive for the initial murder was because the supposed killers wanted to play tennis. That always struck me as an amusing motive, especially given the title.

But the actually solution to the murders ends up quite sad I have to say.

Good murder mystery. I'm becoming a fan of Myron.

Drop Shot is a good quick mystery thriller. Bolitar provides entertaining sarcasm and snark. The cast of characters are fun. The book is paced well. Coben’s style in this series reminds me of David Rosenfelt’s Andy Carpenter series. Recommended reading if you like a fast paced mystery.

better than the first in the series; still has a tendency towards clumsy racial/misogynistic tropes but not as bad as it could be from a white male author publishing in the mid-90s.

I figured this book out about half way through, but I still enjoyed it.

I started reading this series years ago, although bit in order because I don't remember reading this one.

Myron is such an enjoyable character to read about. This was a good suspense, I was more than halfway through the book before I started putting the pieces together.

As always, Win the sociopath best friend to Myron was my favorite. I love him so damn much.
