Different but good

I would give this a 3.75/5. The writing style was different than what i typically read. I loved the primal theme. Solid plot that kept you guessing. Some grammatical errors. Spice was 4/5 and well described.

I don’t like beets. I very much know that I do not like beets. They tastes like dirt dumped in old dust and there’s nothing at all about them that I enjoy. Yet every couple of years I get mesmerized by some shiny new goat cheese and beet salad and I cheerfully skip on over to WholeFoods and willingly buy the fucking beets. I make the salad. I tell myself this time might be different - everyone else loves beets! I taste the salad. The beets taste like ass every single time.
THIS BOOK IS FUCKING BEETS. I tried, but there are just some things that are not for me.

No one cares about venereal diseases in this book it would seem. There was so much unsafe sex that had me cringing but I just sunk to my happy place during those scenes.

Scared pussy always hurts so fucking bad. Scared pussy always fights. And scared pussy always tastes the best. Forcing my way inside her will be fucking divine

This quote had me scared asf. I'm ngl. Expect more out of pocket quotes from this book.

Listen, we all know that the two main characters need to go to therapy instead of using their unhealthy outlets to cope. Especially since FMC kept putting herself in situations that are literally True Crime bait so they can continue to satiate their demons and this
Spoiler ends up getting her in trouble (like i suspected) near the end of the book.

But rest assured I knew what I was getting myself into when I picked up. Because even though I support women's rights, I also support their wrongs. I'm sure you know which category this book falls into. If you like your books dark, and I mean dark, then you'll enjoy this one. Both the MCs are mentally f'ed in the head and they get their HEA.
dark tense medium-paced

I was nervous about this book after reading (or, well, trying to read) call me daddy. But I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Granted I enjoyed it enough that it made me start questioning my own sanity lol but in a good way. The only reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 is that there was too much alluding to the characters back story like I should already know when I don't. It wasn't until like 85% of the way in do you learn what happened to make them the way they are. Then its insta-love which is always a hit or miss for me.

Such wasted potential. This plot could've been incredible but the writing was just off. Also I wouldn't recommend the audiobook. It would've been better to read bc the narrators didn't do it for me. Meh I think Jade West just isn't for me, and that's ok.

This book was really interesting. I love the overall fantasy at play and I think the writing was quite good. For me, the prose just wasn't what I wanted from a book like this and it was a lot more tragic than sexy. I wasn't super into Leo's family drama and I found it frustrating at times.

I can tell how raw this all was for the author and I hope it was cathartic as fuck. You can feel how personal this was for her and I was definitely here for that.

I'll probably give Sugar Daddies a try soon. I think it might be more my style.

I think this was my first Jade west book but it definitely won’t be my last! This book was so good!!! I was sad for it to end. I wanted to fight Serena for playing both sides like damn girl pick a side and stick to it.
