Interesting premise.

I enjoyed the dark aspects but at times felt like the internal monologue was a little lengthy for my tastes.

Bravo! This was a Tiktok find for me and basically the first I've read of its kind. Might be a hard sell for some people but I read it in one sitting. What's really appealing is the depth of the characters. You don't always get that in this genre. I'll have to read more of her books.
