I had this book on my list because I'm a BIG fan of primal chasing and this had me gasping. Lol. I actually enjoyed being slowly introduced to the characters and their backgrounds. You don't learn the guy's name until the middle(?) of the book. Outside of my gleefulness of primal chasing the spicy scenes were pretty good. I could have gone for a little longer scenes and more after care especially after something so intense but I still enjoyed it. I'm not sure I'd read it again but I don't regret adding this to my read list!

Wow. This one was a wild ride. Very explicit sex scenes, consensual non-consent, past trauma. The characters were well written.
Two broken souls who find each other in the darkness, & they’re broken pieces fit each other’s. This book may not be for everyone. If you do not like CNC.
I gave it a chance from a Facebook group recommendation. Couldn't imagine reading the rest in the series.
OYE. This was a pretty hard core CNC book. I was expected the writing to be subpar since the spice was so prevalent, however I really enjoyed the character development and story line.
Several things that made me not give it a full 5 stars:
I understand that due to circumstances, the brothers changed their names. But I thought that part was unnecessary and kind of silly.
Whereas I get that dark and brooding main male characters are a trope in and of themselves, sometimes it felt like the main male character was angry just to be angry.
Also, the tippy tapping around the issue until the very end when all is revealed always seems a little forced, especially when we actually get narration from that character.
That said I really enjoyed Leo and Abigail's back and forth and steamy scenes.
