A quick fun middle grade read. It wasn’t TOTALLY predicable. In some ways (setting, tone) it reminded me of “The Westing Game” but was completely it’s own story. Good characters. Overall I enjoyed it!

I usually struggle to get my 10 yr. old to read. Not once did I need to remind her to read with this book! She absolutely loved it and couldn't put it down. She loved it so much that it made my 8 yr old want to read it and he loved it too.

I really enjoyed this MG mystery with a side of spooky. Loved the "Westing Game" feel with a set-up of intriguing characters from the get-go. Kids will like the fast-pace clues and the story moves along really well. The kid characters have a lot of charm and will appeal to a wide-range of readers, they will all find someone to root for. Looking forward to introducing this title to my elementary library.

This MG mystery is a cross between Clue and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

What a cute book! In the art of whodunnit, we follow a cast of suspects and three children set on solving the mystery of who killed Mr. Barclay. Full of mystery, secrets, and even a few ghosts. I really enjoyed this modern day Scooby-Doo.
