The writing style in this book didn't always convey the plot in the most interesting way, but it was still entertaining. I used to read an abridged version of this as a kid, so I felt very nostalgic all the way through the book!

This is such a good book. I enjoyed the adventures, the can do attitude of Mr. Phineas Fogg and Passeportout's roller coaster of emotions from reluctance to straight up anxiety and worry.
I've never much enjoyed what people consider "the classics". I don't know if it's the facts that they were written forever ago, the strangeness of the culture back then, or the author's voice. This one definitely took me by surprise. I decided to listen to this one on audiobook and I think that's what contributed to my enjoyment of this book. The dictation of the reader was excellent and had me chomping at the bit to know what happened to Mr. Fogg and his faithful valet next.
