This books is very cute. It follows the story of a fox who gets his food from three farmers. The farmers get fed up with the fox and they decide that they're going to kill him the next time he comes out of his hole, so the fox has to find a new way to feed his family. I enjoyed the way this book was written and how clever it was. I also enjoyed how clever the fox was, although I sort of could predict the way this book was going to end. It wasn't super original.

I remember when this book was first read to me in grade school. I loved it! Roald Dahl definitely came up with a classic. I’ve read and reread it over the years and it never gets old. I love sharing this book with friends and their families. It’s just a fun classic. It could be that I’ve always had a soft spot for foxes and good books

I've only read 3 Roald Dahl books so far (this one, of course, as well as Matilda and The BFG) and this one is by far my favorite of the 3. I enjoyed it very much and recommend it to all of you.

This fox is so good and the story ended up being funny and enjoyable for adults and children alike. I recommend this to your children and to you as well, especially if you enjoy middle grade. Definitely worth reading again, too.

Enjoy!

Avelynn is very keen on the Road Dahl. She says "it was funny and nice at the same time. It's quite different from the film but I prefer the book. The farmers weren't very nice to the animals."

Cute and short. Have not seen the stop motion film, so I think this primed me well for it.

Delightful. Roald Dahl always paints a picture of his world. You can't help cheering for the fox and the other animals as they outsmart the horrible humans.
