This novel was so good, I don't regret reading it. Although it was a bit slow at that beginning for me, it quickly accelerated plot wise and was good.

There were lots of shocking surprises, and new gods introduced like Artemis, Aphrodite, Apollo and even the hunters.

One thing I didn't like was the hints of Annabeth and Percy becoming a couple, because to me I liked them as platonic friends.

All in all, I liked the new storylines and character development that took place, will definitely be reading the next book in the series.

a bit of a retrospective review here. this was another solid and insane installment of the percy jackson series!!! reading this at 21 feels like healing my inner child that didn't read it at 12 but totally should've lol. can't help but feel like i want to give all of the kids at the camp the biggest hug because i already know that i would've literally shit myself reading this when i was 12. would've easily cried from the secondhand stress alone LOL. one of the more crushing installments so far [no pun intended], but i can tell this series is going to get so much more serious so much faster.

wow.
They just keep getting better. Nico? Totally wasn't expecting what happened. And Thalia becoming a Hunter? Wasn't shocked. She does fit the requirements and is a natural fighter. Annabeth's dad. He's funny. Overall the book was great. Bianca was cold, how could she just LEAVE Nico like that? Still kind of annoyed by that, but I can understand why she did it.

I liked it as a follow up book to sea of monsters but I didn’t like that there was no explanation of how Thalia and Percy became friends or what happened after she woke up. I felt an explanation was needed and was frustrated at the lack of one.

Annabeth y Percy growing that love is chef kiss
