Theres something quite different and very powerful about reading the story of colonisation from the perspective of an Aboriginal character even when you know factually how they were treated. It breaks my heart and fills me with compassion for their resilience. I also loved hearing the language and the wisdom of living with respect for the land highlighted in this story. Was grateful to be able to hear it spoken in the audio version!

What did I just read? I absolutely LOVED this book.
