Eat You Alive

So, my best friend discovered this book on tiktok. The scene that was highlighted was AMAZEBALLS. It was an instant must read. I mean, enemies to lovers? Hell yes! Bully romance? Absolutely!

But this went south fast.

While I love enemies to lovers, and I've been into bully romance lately, this one...was just too much. I just felt like Wolf crossed the line to abusive. It just left a bad taste in my mouth. Add in the fact that this ends in a cliffhanger and, well...I'm out. I didn't like the book enough to want to know what happens with Wolf. I will say that Fawn deserved better.
fast-paced

Not for me at all
emotional tense fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Complicated
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

Fell victim to another TikTok recommendation & honestly enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

Honestly, “Wolf” is a bit TOO possessive but it kind of works for them. I really didn’t like him much at all in the beginning but started to understand him more.

Also, love the curvy FMC. We need more of those.

Not something I would usually read but I enjoyed it

This was book 1 of a duet. Leaves off on a cliffhanger.
Definitely dark, on the verge of too dark for me. Overall I enjoyed it. But holy cow, so drawn out while telling us nothing. Annoyingly so.

*I came across this, probably in an ad. It specifically says you do not need to read the first 3 books. This was labeled as book 4. But I feel like I'm missing important facts that were just thrown out, like I should know that because it was probably explained in one of those prior books.

what the fuck did I read

what the fuck did I read

DNF at 30%. The lack of consistency with the characters and HORRIBLE writing and editing made me stop this. Ares had the potential to be a good alpha/bully-the no one else but me will touch you/obsessed in the best way kind- but he was too one dimensional and unhinged. His unapologetic abuse of Fawn- and the fact that she conveniently forgets about it-makes him just another abuser.

Not sure how I stumbled across this one, but this should have been/almost was a dnf. Somehow, though, I did manage to finish it. This books was so full of abuse and manipulation it blows my mind. I know there are some that enjoy that type of thing, but I am not one of those people. Not sure how this even made it onto my TBR, kinda wish it hadn't. Also, it ends on a cliffhanger.

Hoodwinked by TikTok, and I’ve started from book one.

Bully has to bully college. Grammar and sentence errors galore.
It’s a 2.5 maybe.
