Oh man. This book took a long time for me to read, and ultimately, it was boring!
I think this was a good lesson about knowing when to DNF a book.
Coralie, you should have left Adam long before your breaking point. The man in this book was a total selfish do nothing.

I enjoyed listening to this story of Aussie, Coralie, getting swept up with love and life in London during recent local and world events (Brexit, Covid).

I felt the characters had more life and depth than I was expecting. Jessica Stanley's writing is perceptive, with lots of humour, and her depiction of motherhood (loss of self) is very effecting. I did feel that the ending was just okay and Coralie's fix (and the payoff) could have been a lot more surprising and memorable.

Loved Lydia Leonard's narration.
