A sneak peak in the past of Rune and Brand, when they were babies, with a bonus appearance (sort of) by Lord Sun !

This is an adorable short story that shows the strength of baby Rune and baby Brand's companion bond.

The Tarot Sequence has been a TBR of mine for a while, so when I discovered it had a short story prequel, I was happy to read it to get a feel (I can't read the actual series yet, until I read a bunch of other things I promised I'd read first). It was stunning! Short and sweet, filled with that inner righteousness of characters who know a truth outsiders refuse to accept and a thorough understanding family. Plus, the exact type of knight relationship I love the most: a wordless understanding between the one being protected and the one doing the protecting. And they're only babies!
Moderate: Classism
Minor: Confinement

Hilarious. Lord Brand and Lord Rune are both spitfire babies, and seeing Lord Sun in person was nice.
