Series review: Pretty solid. I liked all of the heroes well enough and I thought the world was interesting, though not quite as fully detailed as I would've liked. I love a reverse harem where she gets together with the guys at different paces and I thought this did it really well. I particularly liked the arc of her romance with Valen. The big weakness of the series is that it didn't feel like it had enough of a villain or enough of a triumphant win. The nightmares felt like they were leading to a bigger bad guy, but Eryx was not given enough weight to feel like the Big Bad. Which lead to the big fight and win feeling anticlimactic. Without that plot momentum I was feeling a bit bored by the end of the final book.

This series is not written for me and I already knew that when starting this series. However, I love Harper Frey and I've read all of her books so far and I didn't wanna break that streak. Surprisingly enough I did really enjoy the first two books in the series. There was a lot more time for emotions and personal development than I thought there would be. So I was very excited when my arc for this last book came in!

Last books in series are always hard to write, but while reading this book the authors make it seem really simple. They clearly know what they've been doing, where everything would lead and how they would eventually wrap up everything. They didn't forget a thing. There are no loose ends, that are no unanswered questions and when I finished the book I was really satisfied because everything in this book worked.

Of course there was also a lot of fighting. Since I don't see images or videos in my head I always have a hard time keeping up with those scenes, but I really loved how, especially during the final battle, there were also so many emotions involved. It really wasn't easy to win. It really wasn't easy to solve the mess our characters found themselves in. It took effort and willpower and creativity. It most of all took trust.

What I loved most though is that the heroine grew so much during this last book. She also did a lot of growing in the second book in the series, but now she really learns some valuable lessons about herself and her guys. I have a weak spot for female characters who are good at fighting and willing to show emotions. But in this series she didn't just have to learn to feel, she also had to learn what love actually is and that she deserves to be loved.

I'm sure this series is gonna be a big hit now it's finished and people can binge read it!

Epic ending to a great series!

I LOVE Greer!! She's fierce! With the life she's had, she's had not choice but to be strong. And as much as I love a tough FMC, I love it even more when the MC's show her it's ok to be vulnerable sometimes and be protected. I love the "touch her and die" vibe. Dane, Valen and Bash are all of that! They know how strong Greer is, but also know about everything she's had to endure with her momster. They will go to the ends of the universe to make sure she knows she's loved and treasured. This book had so much action, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. And the steam was scorching! This series has definitely become a favorite and it's impossible to pick a favorite MC. I love the character development as well!! Greer went from feeling so alone, to having a real family! Ahhh, it really gave me all the feels! I laughed, cried and the ending was just *chef's kiss!!

Greer has been through so much already in this series, but it's time to wrap it up! Will she and her mates get rid of the shadow beasts infecting the Earth? Can she overcome all that her mother has put her through and is still putting her through? The Slayers, Fae, Shifters and Witches are going to need to come together in a massive way to save their worlds! Valen, Dane and Bastien continue to drive Greer wild, both by putting themselves in danger and by driving her wild in other ways! This was a great finale and I just loved it. Hot, hot, hot!
