This is a pretty decent romance novel, but the Netflix adaptation is in a league of its own. I really did like how certain scenes were written, though, especially with the source of Kate's aversion to storms. Anyway, not my Kate Sharma but that's fine.

This might just be the first time I’ve ever chosen the film/TV over a book

Shonda Rhimes, the woman that you are. I don’t know how anyone could find the vision to bring these one-dimensional characters to life, but she did it. Quite frankly, I think I just don’t like Julia Quinn’s writing. The men are awful and the women are dum-dums, I can’t bear it. Will definitely be watching every season, will certainly not be reading another book, and I can’t recall any time that has ever been the case for a TV/movie adaption of a book series, for me. Might need to rewatch season 2 just to redeem Anthony’s character in my eyes.

I'm slowly reading my way through the Bridgerton novels, and this book is currently towards the top of my list, though I'm not sure if I like this one or Romancing Mister Bridgerton more.

Anthony's consuming love for Kate is to die for, even if he is a tad misogynistic and arrogant. (They all have their issues, which I choose to ignore because of the romance.)

I will most likely be re-watching season two once again on Netflix. I live for tension and edging more than I live for the smut, and these two definitely deliver that.
