“It was inevitable.
Seeing your kindness, beauty, and strength of spirit, I came to love you deeply.
Unrelentingly.”

Oviposition , who knew would be kind of hot. I have to say I have a soft spot for crow/scarecrow monster romance stories, blame the wizard of oz. This book didn’t disappoint, perhaps could’ve used more world building but for what it was, it was a quick short and spicy read. Don’t look for full length novel or drawn out plot.

Protective stalker

Crow was somehow precious with his determination to protect Veronica at all costs. He was a self-loathing sad boi and needed love to save the day. Baba Jaga was a fun addition to the lore.

Spice: 5/5

Triggers: stalking, domestic abuse (off page), attempted murder, violence

Crow (H) watches over Veronica (h) keeping her safe from harm. He struggles to hold onto his humanity against the curse that transformed him into a crow. With the aid of a witch, he's partially able to painfully transform into a birdman at night, but he hopes that with the kiss of his true love he'll have more control over his transformation. But while Veronica accepts his birdman form, her kiss alone is not enough - he'll need something much more. Crow is so protective and super sweet towards Veronica and oh, when you read why... It was great that Veronica loved Crow even in his birdman form and didn’t seem him as some kind of monster. And just wow to the hot and steamy action.

Well that was worse than the bucket of the last one. I should have read the review I wasn’t ready for the eggs. That was awful, I wanted to throw my phone so far from me.

Scrambled or Sunnyside??!!

The moment I cracked open my first Layla Fae story, I knew I was in for it!! And here I am, consuming her books in batches. Monster erotica gets me, because I love weird and supernatural things. Layla's style is witty and fun to read! Crow, was no exception! I loved the protective, bossy, birdman. In summation, I'll read whatever she offers!
