I wasn't sure if I'd like this book for the first few chapters I especially wasn't sure how I felt about Caleb's storyline. I'm glad I stuck with it though. The mysterious circumstances surrounding Tova's son drew me in.

I enjoyed this book. It made me want to learn more about the Pacific Giant Octopus.  Marcellus was my favorite character.  It did drag on in a few places toward the end (frustrating).
