Gorgeous story, beautifully written and aimed to the heart of the reader. My favourite read of this year so far!

I never thought I’d be teary-eyed over an octopus. Marcellus was my favorite character - hands down. His thoughts were what I picture my cat’s thoughts to be: brilliant, condescending, and humorous. While the characters were interesting, it took awhile for me to get into the story. I loved the ending and how nicely everything wrapped up.

Beautifully touching story (unique! with octopus being a main protagonist). Just lovely

I didn't realize I had an Octopus-as-a-narrator literary size hole in my life. I really loved Marcellus and Tova, both separately and together, and tolerated Cameron for what he eventually came to mean for Tova.
