Why did you do that to Matthias. Honestly no why did you do that to Ninaaaaa. Jesper kissing the wrong person was the most Jesper thing to do it made me laugh and scream at the same time. Wylan’s big moment with his fatherrrrr. That scene alone made me love Wylan so much moreeeee. Kaz taught him well. Speaking of Kazzzzz. Him and Inejjjjjj. This is the best chemistry i’ve ever seen in my life and i’m not physically witnessing it because it is in a book but ahhhhh. The tension. The yearning. Kanej is otp argue with me.
I'm absolutely utterly obsessed with Leigh Bardugo and her fantastic storytelling skills. I loved Six of Crows and again adored Crooked kingdom. Regardless of having seen spoilers for a major event within the book, the whole novel still hit me like a ton of bricks. I love these characters dearly and cannot wait to see them come to life more in the TV show.
I truly recommend this duology to anyone who likes books with adventure and swindling and heists. It completely hit all the right spots for me and I loved every minute of it. I'm giving 4 stars purely because I enjoyed six of crows more. But that is the only reason.
Crooked Kingdom will undoubtedly get a reread once I've finished the next couple of books in the grishaverse. Loved it!
