I didn’t think the characters were likeable (in the sense that I didn’t want to root for anyone), and then one of the protagonists made a choice that was the last straw for me. I’m disappointed, because I love the author’s YouTube presence, but this just wasn’t the book for me.

It’s a fun story about internet culture. It takes place at the start of the pandemic. It holds a special place because I watched some of the livestreams when it was written.

Lighthearted, easy read that was lots of fun! I couldn't put the book down, the story unfolded in such an exciting manner. Also, very up to date - written during covid and already covering how the pandemic impacted the lives of so many people.

Great diverse cast of characters and nice storyline. I hope, there will be more books out there like this one, soon!

 3.75 stars

This book was written for the meme, no seriously. The authors wrote this book over live streams through 2020, and the beginning of 2021. If it wasn't for that, I don't think I'd have heard of the book to pick it up.

This book parodies internet drama and the cancel culture we've seen exhibited over the past few years. There is mention of alcoholism (or at least over-reliance of alcohol), drugs, and sex.

The books focuses on two main characters: Lindsey and Rick. They have both dealt with misfortune due to the pandemic but when they both decide to out Shawn Boston for the fraud he is, they see their lives turn upside down.

I really enjoyed this book. It was silly, it was fun, and you could tell that the authors enjoyed the work they put out there.

There wasn't anything in particular that made me rate this 3.75 stars. I didn't enjoy it as much as some other books I've read this year, but I will be looking forward to the rest of the books coming out for the Cancel Series.
