Like most books I’ve read from this author, I figured out a small piece of the puzzle but couldn’t make the rest of it fit until the very end. A quick read for me!
I'm not a murder mytery fan. The whole genre doesn't really interest me. But I have this stack of books sitting in my bedroom that have been loaned to me by dear friends (really, the definition of a friend is someone who loans you books) and I was looking for something a little shorter and somewhat escapist. It's summer, after all. So I picked up this one and was immediately engrossed. It was well-written, plausible, and the characters, their actions and emotions made sense! Great plot twists and turns, and there's even a sweet love story undercurrent. Go figure! When I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about it, which, to me, is the mark of reading a great book. I don't know what I was afraid of all these years. Murder mystery is fun - at least this one was!

It's an easy read with enough little tidbits to keep you guessing at the mystery, but not enough for me to care about the outcome when it was finally revealed.
I wouldn't particularly recommend this one as I don't think it's one of Coben's best, but I will continue to read this work.
