I really loved this book - the characters were lovable and inspiring. I laughed, I cried, and I was sad when the book ended because I wasn't ready to be done!

Sweet and fluffy, in the way cotton candy is sweet and fluffy. There wasn't much of substance there, and it dissolved quickly, but it was fun.

The characters were mostly all understandable and cute. There really wasn't much conflict, and the conflict that existed was fixed pretty much in the same chapter. It was hard to follow some of the time jumps, and the timeline was fuzzy and confuddled.

Overall it wasn't objectively bad. Just kind of dull to me, and not really something I enjoy reading, but I definitely see the appeal for stories like this.

I'm happy to have received a copy of this book as part of Goodreads Giveaway. I really enjoyed this look at women working at the Kew Gardens in London during WWI. The story mostly followed the lives of Louisa (a women who left a bad marriage), Ivy (a young woman), Jim (Ivy's boyfriend), Bernie (a troubled young man), and Mac (manager of the gardening crew). I liked the interactions of the characters and the glimpses of the work at Kew Gardens. The story was well written. I was satisfied by the story and wasn't left wanting.

Loved the flower descriptions and definitions, interesting story set in WW1 with a suffragette tie in. I just didn’t love all the characters personally.
