Read this for the first time in French, so lost a little of the meanings from time to time due to blanks in my vocabulary. Understood about 90% of it though and pretty proud of the fact that I've now read a fantasy classic in a second language.

Love that Chronic-what-cles of Narnia!

While I first read this book many years ago in elementary school, listening to the audiobook version as narrated by Michael York was a wonderful and new experience. His voice acting is superb, and even though I knew the tale I was still brought to tears and then cheered for joy with the retelling. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is a story for young and old that no one is ever too grown up to read.

I read this book last year but never wrote a review for it. I still remember how I felt after reading it. It felt exhilarating and magical. I remember putting the book down and thinking "Wow. Now that's how you take a reader on an adventure."

The world of Narnia felt so bright and vivid. It really felt like I was sucked into another world. I'm definitely going to reread these books a year from now. It truly felt like you were exploring a world far away from here with its own peculiar customs and traditions.

First time re-reading this in over 10 years. Still enjoyable, but unfortunately, its an example of middle grade that just reads too young and simple for me now, and I still love middle grade. I might still read the rest of the series

I've just started rereading the chronicles of Narnia as it has given me such nostalgia. This book is obviously not amazingly deep considering first and foremost it is a children's book. However, it's short and sweet and pretty much is a perfect example of fantasy for young children.

I can't believe I've gone so long without reading this classic! I very much enjoyed it, both as a children's story and the very heavy allegory present in it. People talk about this paralleling the Gospels all the time, so I don't exactly need to reiterate that - but it was very fun to notice all the little references.
Highly would recommend this - it's a quick read, but a very powerful one!
