Read this book out loud to Lucy, along with Brian. It appealed to her as soon as I explained that the main character shared her name and that the animals could talk. We enjoyed our little adventure with the Penvensie. It prompted some good discussions about what it meant to be a good friend and a good sibling, and we touched on a few of the religious themes that run through the story.

Pros: CS Lewis' writing just always GETS me. The little tea party critters standing up to the witch. Edmund's redemption. Aslan being so powerful and incredible. All of it.

Cons: nothing if you think there's anything wrong with this book don't talk to me.

Simple book but with deeper connotations. I always enjoy C.S. Lewis.
