Never have I wanted to finish a book so badly and quickly as this one. The abuse felt exploitative and the descriptions were indulgent and needlessly verbose. Not sure how I felt about the book in the end, just happy that it was over.
Absolutely amazing. Going to have to make a hard decision on my “Top 10 Books” shelf! Turtle is an unforgettable character.

Oof, I do not get the success of this book. The description of the father/daughter relationship was so off-putting and frankly, not understandable.
