So, i do really like the idea of this book but i think that it isn't executed in a good way.It could have been a good book with a great story but it had its lenghts and it dosen't really have a climax in my opinion.And I also don't that the characters had much depth or development. It's not a bad book but nor is it a really good either. Also because I read the discription on the back I thought that the main characters really was a witch, which would have been more interesting in my opinion. So the fact that I went in this book with wrong expectations didn't help either (but that was entirely my fault since I misunderstood it).
Not great but I would read the sequel if I could find it anywhere?
I read this a couple of years ago and am planning to reread it soon. I loved everything about it and the sort of enemies to lovers thing that happened between Elizabeth and John. This book is a masterpiece.
My big problem with this book was how the writing didn't fit the time period of the book at all; it takes place in the 1500s, but it's just kind of?? It's so modern and contemporary that it took me a while to get into it.
That said, once I did, I really liked the story. Elizabeth is a little difficult, but I like her conflict with herself, with Caleb, and with the witches. Some of the twists etc were fairly predictable, but honestly it's a fun story and I enjoyed it. I'll probably read the next in the series

QUÉ MARAVILLA DE LIBRO. me ha encantado de principio a fin, wow! la trama es genial, es una telaraña perfectamente hilada en la que todo tiene un por qué, un significado y una importancia al final; la ambientación te lleva de pleno a los lugares donde acontece la historia sin que ni siquiera te des cuenta; los personajes son GENIALES (george es absolutamente adorable y entrañable, fifer es una DIOSA, elizabeth es maravillosa y john es UN SUEÑO
4’5. LA. INDECISIÓN. ponerle nota a este libro como bloque ha sido dificilísimo! y más teniendo en cuenta lo que AMÉ su primera parte. he estado entre el 4, el 5 y e incluso el no rating sin poder decidirme durante toda la lectura

This book was fun to read, the mc had great character development and she was logical, like it was realistic in the way she handles things. I really liked the action scenes especially in the beginning, I would have liked for her to smack the king around like please. I hope she kicks the villains ass in the future.
