Inferno was quite different from the kind of books I usually read. This was more like a thriller, it had stuff like finding clues and suspense. But it also had a very detailed description about the places in which the story was set. The initial part was set in Florence and then in Venice. Later in Istanbul, Turkey.

This was where Dan Brown peaked. Also, is it just me or most of you weren't really disappointed in Zobrist when y'all found out what the virus was?

This wasn't my favorite book in the series, but it was still really good. It had a bit of a slow start for me, slower than the others, but I did enjoy it after a few chapters! Still one of my favorite series!

I don't like it at all. Everything seems to be so plastic and totally unrealistic. I enjoyed Angels and Deamons but this one...puts me off Dan Brown for good.

3.5 stars. I always learn a lot from Dan Brown's books, and this was no exception. It was hard to put this book down. I get annoyed with the red herrings and the Mickey Mouse watch.

A lot of people seem to enjoy hating on Dan Brown, but that's up to them. I'm not going to disagree or agree. At the point in time I read this, I found Inferno enjoyable.

Entertaining for the historical trivia and a virtual tour through Florence, Venice, and briefly Istanbul -- but entirely predictable. Parts of it I could barely slog through because the author kept describing places with incredible detail *during a high-speed chase or action scene.* I'm pretty sure even Mr. Langdon wouldn't be able to notice such detail about his surroundings when he's running for his life... It's been a while since I read my last Dan Brown books; my tastes must have changed. It was okay for a straightforward suspense read. I suspect the movie will be better for once.
