if your into romance soul mates stuff you should read kissed by an angel. its about girl whose boyfriend dies and now hes her guardian angel. he has to chose if he will save her from being killed or spending the rest of his "life" with her. bc as soon as he saves her his mission is done and he goes to the other world.
Finished rereading it last night, thinking I didn't grasp the meaning of it all it the first time, but I once again lost myself somewhere near the end of the first book.
