I loved the book(s), but some things were very... twisted and I wish somethings had happened differently but definitely a great book. Nothing was expected through every turn it was a surprise!

Sweet and very reminiscent of the kind of love that's enough to make you get a cavity. Young love in its prime, the 90s. This was pretty good, though it dragged in places. Tristan and Ivy are that high school love that made you believe in love at that ripe age.
Boy meets girl, falls in love with girl, embarrasses himself in front of girl, gets the girls, loses the girl. I admired Tristan. He never gave up on Ivy, he loved her so much. While the story did drag some, that feeling really made me like it. It's nice to get lost in that kind of love. It feels so big and never ending.
The magic and lore used around the dead and angels was interesting too. I didn't know what to expect with it, but I found it kind of cute.
Not a half bad book.

I'm a sucker for romance

My third time reading this book and I absolutely love it. It rips your heart out and shocks you and can be a little cheesy from time to time but we all need that bit of romance.

Took me forever to finish. Thought it was okay.

So, I basically got my hopes up.

Now I see why I didn't finish it the first time I tried reading it. It was an okay book but not as good as what I usually read. It was a bit of a let-down and certain parts of the plot towards the end made no sense, especially when it came to Gregory because his actions where well the only word that can really be used is insane because it seemed like some of his ideas where thought out on a whim while others were detailedly planned out.

It seems as though Chandler had a brilliant idea but once it got time to write it down she began forgetting important details quickly but couldn't just give up writing and relied on the plot that she already had. I think that if the plot and the relationships were a bit more developed it would be a great trilogy. Everyone was falling in love with everyone else way to quickly, before they would even have a true chance to develop any type of real relationship. I'm not sure if I'll read the next one it seems a bit like over kill from the summary.

Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

These were some really good books. I liked how all three were put together. I found that the characters were okay and that parts of the book were a little too sappy for my tastes. In all the books were interesting and well written.

I just loved it! Though I really didn“t like how it ended S: ...
