Good book has the same hasn’gatsby energy of long passages with little action throughout the book.
Quite a depressing book, but shows how false and fake Hollywood is.

Absolutely boring. Reminds me of white noise. Just a white dude talking about a girl and no plot.

Simpson, Homer Simpson,
He's the greatest guy in history.
From the Town of Waynesville, Iowa.
He's about to hit misery.
Obligatory Simpsons reference out of the way, this was a disappointingly empty experience. I couldn't help but think that compared to other well-made films about the film industry, e.g., The Player or, to an extent Sunset Boulevard this has almost nothing to say outside of the Los Angeles is fake theme. West gives very little insight into the film business, and the story never goes anywhere interesting as a result.
