I had an inkling that they had gained a day on their trip, and when they arrived 5 minutes late I thought surely that couldn't be it!
Definitely antiquated and a product of its time, especially considering the nature of the story, but beyond that a very enjoyable read and a good way of getting back into reading some classics.
