Would be 4.5 if possible. This book was just so dreary. Sometimes it just felt like, ok can things be normal for a bit? It felt a tad overwhelming to be gloom and doom for almost 1500 pages. I'm hoping book 7 is a bit brighter.

No, he is not my familiar,” I said tartly, scooping up Adso and dumping him unceremoniously on the floor. “He’s a cat. Talking to him is slightly less ridiculous than talking to myself, that’s all.
I seriously love these characters. This book was full of action and heartache and love and intrigue. I absolutely loved it; definitely one of my favorites in the series so far. This book covers many years (not typical in this series), so we really get to see what life is like at the time. I LOVE the time period and the setting. This book counts for Popsugar 2021 for the longest book on my TBR, it's a Top 12 book for 2021 and it counts for Bookland for March for a fantasy e-book as I read the majority of this on my Kindle.
Popsugar 2021 Reading Challenge - Prompt 33: A Book Featuring Three Generations
I know, that I was complaining a few times that I am bored, but it got better towards the end. Young Ian was awesome as usual. Lizzie and her husbands - that story killed me, in a good way...:D I liked the re-appearance of Stephen Bonnett who My heart broke for Jamie, Claire, Brianna, Roger, and children, it was really sad and I may shed some tears... And I am quite hyped now for the next book now, which is good because I was not hyped for this one after The Fiery Cross.
