✨BOOK REVIEW✨- From Snowball Fights to Hot Summer Nights(Misadventures and Mistletoe Series Book 2) by Wren K. Morris

My novella journey has been redeemed with this adorably spicy book. I loved all three characters, Trevor, Dancer, and Candy are definitely a throuple to root for. Loved the open and honest communication between the three.

Check the content/trigger warnings.

This was such a fun, fluffy read and I really enjoyed it. While the first book in the series follows a different couple and has an HEA, there is a lot of world building/explanation in that first book so I would recommend reading it first. I loved how we get all 3 POVs of our main characters so we can really get in their heads and get to know them a little more quickly. There's fantastic chemistry between all the characters pretty much from the get-go and it is done in a way that highlights their compatibility, not just physical desire. I'd categorize this as zero angst which is exactly what I like in a shorter holiday read.  There are moments of doubt, sure, but they are pretty much instantly addressed in a very straightforward and caring way.  I do wish we had time to see more scenes of the different configurations of couples building their individual relationships more.

Last year, I picked up a cozy lil Xmas novella that wound up unexpectedly becoming a fave read over the holiday season. I rarely buy physical books, due to limited space and tiny humans who get into everything. But I bought this book because it made me laugh so much and was just the perfect, quick, cozy read and I could see myself picking it back up over and over as a comfort read. Thus, when @wrenkmorris announced another book in this series, I knew I would be picking it up ASAP! And "From Snowball Fights to Hot Summer Nights" did not disappoint.

This MMF novella took me back to all the coziness and laughter of the first book, and then took it up a notch. I especially loved Dancer's character. My ADHD, hyperfocusing, overthinking self related so much to him and his mental tangents and impulsivity. Candy was truly a ray of sunshine, bringing in so much energy and levity to the dynamic. And then there's Trevor....big, adorable, teddy bear Trevor. His quiet, reassuring presence was so grounding, a great balance for the other two, more energetic members of this throuple.

Their open communication and understanding/insight into each other were such a pleasure to read. And getting more peeks into the rest of the Xmas Village crew, including a very grumpy, very pregnant Cole, was delightful! I'm looking forward to more stories from the rest of them!

This was so super cute and definitely hot. I love the poly, bi, pan, and demi representation. Obviously this was a novella so we unfortunately didn’t get too much time with the MCs. And there were a few editing mistakes, but nothing too egregious. Overall I loved it and I can’t wait for the rest of the boys’ books.
