This book was a long longer than it needed to be. There was so much repetitiveness, cliches and over descriptive unnecessary paragraphs. I should have counted how many times he said she had "whiskey coloured eyes."

The plot was good, although the supernatural element was, to me, a bit odd. It was predictable and there is no way you cannot foresee how this fairy tale ends.

The incest surrounding the story is...different. Consensual incest - nothing like a bunch of cousins all attracted to each other.

The book could easily have been at least 100 pages shorter. It was just okay. It took me a long time to get into it, and I don't think I ever really got fully invested into it.

I started to read this and said to myself, this all sounds so familiar. After going through my list of books read by Lisa Jackson, I discovered that I already read the story. It was titled Running Scared. It's a great read. :)

My first Lisa Jackson novel. I have to say it was a little more love story than I usually read, but a good story just the same. I'll give her a try again.

Could not put this book down! Although it isn't the most well written novel, the story line is outstanding (even though it is slightly predictable). In particular, the jumping between different times and shifting the character focalisation really helps to amp up the suspense.

I have to say upfront . . . I'm a huge Lisa Jackson fan. I did like this book . . . but holy moley, 16 discs is a lot of listening time.

This had a [a:V.C. Andrews (Author)|4930289|V.C. Andrews (Author)|http://www.goodreads.com/images/nophoto/nophoto-U-50x66.jpg] vibe to it with the twisted family dynamics going on in the story. Throw in an illegal adoption and it made for an interesting story. I missed [b:Wishes|2449962|Twenty Wishes (Blossom Street, #5)|Debbie Macomber|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1255836789s/2449962.jpg|4084010] the first time out, so I'm not exactly sure what got added this time out.

I really liked Daegan's character, but Kate kind of drove me nuts though. John was a totally convincing angst-ridden teenager.
