Part of the Walking Dead world, this side story follows a teenage girl who has grown up with the walkers around and who is determined to not need anyone. Unfortunately she gets sucked into helping a small group of teenagers on top of a mountain and becomes invested in others again.

I'm not a huge fan of the zombie genre and don't love the violence and pain that's inherent in those kinds of stories - as always, Tillie Walden has beautiful illustrations and heartfelt relationships between each character, but it was hard to get through the constant killing.
