This was a page-turner and there was a lot in it that kept me reading, but the horror aspects were more disgusting than disturbing. And, especially towards the end, things seemed rushed. It isn't always clear why the main character is thinking or acting the way she is. The ending section just felt dumb to me and I ended up not really caring what happened tbh. Lots of twists could be seen from a mile away.

Well, this was definitely quite the ride. I'm not entirely sure that I absolutely loved it but I definitely didn't hate it either hence the three stars. The last few chapters felt like a different book completely but they were intense and caused verbal reactions from me. An interesting read for me as I'd never read a horror before. I also have to say, there was nothing particularly surprising that happened. Any 'plot twist' was predictable but the revelations were still satisfactory to read. I don't regret reading this, it's an interesting take on vampires and I always enjoy some sapphic endeavours.

It didn't exactly tickle my pickle but damn, it's written well.
