A gothic horror with a slow burn start and a slightly confusing 'magic system'. I listen to the audiobook so maybe I would have understood better while reading but I didn't fully grasp the story behind the way the magic functioned. I didn't know whether to trust Francis or not and the creepy vibe of the house was very gothic indeed. I didn't feel like we got much personality out of Noemí and I wish we got more with her cousin. There was lots of room for improvement but I did enjoy the overall experience.
