I'll say this book as an audiobook sometimes made me feel a bit lost with the constant back and forth. I did like the plot, story and couple, but man did the back an forth throw me off.

The only thing it lacked was more on on page time with the leads in their current time period. I loved the banter here. They both felt like people I grew up with so I instantly felt close to them. These were two incredibly interesting characters with depth.

After reading the first book in the series, I was excited to dive back into this book.

It showed a lot of flashback moments. Usually, that would be difficult for me to navigate, but the author did such a good job of making it clear where we were in their storyline. Like most of Alexandria House's books, there are touches on mental health in a very real way. But that's what I love about her stories.

Either way, I'm excited to read more from Alexandria.
