Interesting premise but hard to read a covid book when it happened not that long ago and even in 2023 trying to recover from the global pandemic. I wonder how I'd feel if I had read it 10 years from now

First novel I have read that takes place during the first weeks of Covid. Thought the author was respectful of the medical staff, survivors, and the time period.  Very interesting plot.

I honestly don’t know what to think. I both really liked, and strongly disliked this book. I don’t like Diana, but found her story fascinating. I literally loved all the other characters. The story made me furious at times. There are parts that are so stupid. On the other hand…those same parts and their psychological aspects will make you think. Ugh. Dumb, but good book

4/4.5 The twist of this book made my jaw drop! Better than most thrillers I’ve read!

Una protagonista inmadura, unos personajes predecibles con una historia aburrida.

As a nurse who worked on a COVID unit, there were times that this book was hard for me to read. I broke down a few times. But I think that speaks to how well Jodi was able to describe what COVID was like for HCWs at the height of the pandemic.

The plot twist in this novel blew my mind and I can’t stop thinking about it.
I don’t want to spoil anything!!!
